WTF WEDNESDAY!

alright, honestly. why? isn't there some kind of cruelty to this? EXTREME HORSEBACK RIDING? I'm I in Harold and Kumar? WAT!?
description follows here

As seen in the photo, this was invented in 2005 and has gained more attention all around the globe. First starting as just a horse "towing" the boarder, it has become a two man team with even both doing stunts. Of course, this team that has "created" Extreme Horse Riding have been pushing the limits and first to do stunts with the horse rider and boarder!

weird, anyone doing this on spring break?

Throwback Thursdays! Happy Valentines Day!

Honestly, one of my favorite cds, but works perfectly with Valentine's Day. I love Barry White's greatest hits because the orchestration in it sounds beautiful. He was a great composer that wrote all his works and even had a great voice! Quincy Jones even looked at him for inspiration! So anywho.....

January 29th 2008:
Lauren Kate - Back Roads
A great piano pop driven cd that features Lauren Kate of Middlebury Connecticut. If you've been diggin the girl artist craze thats been happening, definitely check her out. If you haven't, here's what she''s like. She has the Sarah McLaughlin voice with Ben Folds uncanny ability to make great piano accompaniment. Her lyrics are very strong as well as melodic style! first installment of Fun Fact Friday!!!

So, pelicans back in the used to be the symbol for sacrifice in Christianity. what? why you ask? Well when adult Pelicans are feeding their young, they bite themselves so they bleed a bit. They then mix the blood with the food to make it smoother for the young. Hence, they were a christian symbol for sacrificing! Dolphin was for resurrection! Wild stuff huh?

Who knew I'd actually take notes in my theology class?

First installment of Throwback Thursdays! Featuring:

Fleetwood Mac - Fleetwood Mac. 1975. This is an album I grew up on that also has the infamous Landslide on it. It also has other classics like...

Rhiannon, Over My Head, Say You Love Me, World Turning, and Sugar Daddy. It's just a classic album that I've ripped from my vinyl. Of course Landslide is a classic track, but these other ones made long car rides with my parents enjoyable as we all sang the songs. Great pop rock. I think his is evident with Rilo Kiley's new cd Under The Blacklight that takes many cues from Fleetwood Mac as well as NYC Smoke that shares the same riff as Rhiannon. Countless other bands are influenced by them as well.

So the first installment of WTF? Wednesdays....

Introducting, The Ashera:

So what is an Ashera? a "blend of exotic bloodlines of the African Serval and the Asian Leopard Cat subsequently bred with a domestic cat". It can "reach a weight of thirty pounds". Want one? if you do, be ready to dish out $22,000... allergic to cats? No probs! Buy the hypoeallergenic for $28,000! Lucky for you if you purchase a cat, that you will get it in 6 months! Talk about service!

right.... So what do you think? WTF? or I want one!

<3 Texas and BMAN, your fave Music Directors! please leave comments on what you like/don't like!

So today is a sad day. Nate and Sam as well as the rest of the band decided not to go foward and make a new album. I'm really distraught by this, as many close friends of mine know that The Format has been a HUGE part of my life with both their albums. Absolutely was a storyline to my life. I was lucky enough to see them at the living room right after Dog Problems came out and was one of the best concerts I've ever been 2. I'll miss those guys, they really mastered Pop music.

so here's to THE FORMAT, and their cds they made that had the potential to infect the airwaves as much as it infected my ears constantly. I wish it could've lasted more than 5 years.
