YOU NEED TO SEE HIM! He's unreal! If anyone missed out on the January 26th show with Matt Pond PA, NYC SMoke, Tom Leschke and him (JAson Anderson) shame on you! My roomie Sean Wright did an amazing job owning that sax line. Unreal times!

WTF WEDNESDAY!

Ladies and Gentlemen. I present to you, Freedom Ship. information follows the link!

"Envision an ideal place to live or run a business, a friendly, safe and secure community with large areas of open space and extensive entertainment and recreational facilities. Finally, picture this community continually moving around the world. You are beginning to understand the Freedom Ship concept of a massive ocean-going vessel. With a design length of 4,500 feet, a width of 750 feet, and a height of 350 feet, Freedom Ship would be more than 4 times longer than the Queen Mary. The design concepts include a mobile modern city featuring luxurious living, an extensive duty-free international shopping mall, and a full 1.7 million square foot floor set aside for various companies to showcase their products.
Freedom Ship would not be a cruise ship, it is proposed to be a unique place to live, work, retire, vacation, or visit. The proposed voyage would continuously circle the globe, covering most of the world's coastal regions. Its large fleet of commuter aircraft and hydrofoils would ferry residents and visitors to and from shore. The airport on the ship's top deck would serve private and small commercial aircraft (up to about 40 passengers each). The proposed vessel's superstructure, rising twenty-five stories above its broad main deck, would house residential space, a library, schools, and a first-class hospital in addition to retail and wholesale shops, banks, hotels, restaurants, entertainment facilities, casinos, offices, warehouses, and light manufacturing and assembly enterprises. Finally, this concept would include a wide array of recreational and athletic facilities, worthy of a world-class resort, making Freedom Ship a veritable "Community on the Sea."" (Freedom Ship)

WTF WEDNESDAY!

alright, honestly. why? isn't there some kind of cruelty to this? EXTREME HORSEBACK RIDING? I'm I in Harold and Kumar? WAT!?
description follows here

As seen in the photo, this was invented in 2005 and has gained more attention all around the globe. First starting as just a horse "towing" the boarder, it has become a two man team with even both doing stunts. Of course, this team that has "created" Extreme Horse Riding have been pushing the limits and first to do stunts with the horse rider and boarder!

weird, anyone doing this on spring break?

Throwback Thursdays! Happy Valentines Day!

Honestly, one of my favorite cds, but works perfectly with Valentine's Day. I love Barry White's greatest hits because the orchestration in it sounds beautiful. He was a great composer that wrote all his works and even had a great voice! Quincy Jones even looked at him for inspiration! So anywho.....

A great piano pop driven cd that features Lauren Kate of Middlebury Connecticut. If you've been diggin the girl artist craze thats been happening, definitely check her out. If you haven't, here's what she''s like. She has the Sarah McLaughlin voice with Ben Folds uncanny ability to make great piano accompaniment. Her lyrics are very strong as well as melodic style! first installment of Fun Fact Friday!!!

So, pelicans back in the used to be the symbol for sacrifice in Christianity. what? why you ask? Well when adult Pelicans are feeding their young, they bite themselves so they bleed a bit. They then mix the blood with the food to make it smoother for the young. Hence, they were a christian symbol for sacrificing! Dolphin was for resurrection! Wild stuff huh?

Who knew I'd actually take notes in my theology class?

Thursday, February 7, 2008

First installment of Throwback Thursdays! Featuring:

Fleetwood Mac - Fleetwood Mac. 1975. This is an album I grew up on that also has the infamous Landslide on it. It also has other classics like...

Rhiannon, Over My Head, Say You Love Me, World Turning, and Sugar Daddy. It's just a classic album that I've ripped from my vinyl. Of course Landslide is a classic track, but these other ones made long car rides with my parents enjoyable as we all sang the songs. Great pop rock. I think his is evident with Rilo Kiley's new cd Under The Blacklight that takes many cues from Fleetwood Mac as well as NYC Smoke that shares the same riff as Rhiannon. Countless other bands are influenced by them as well.

Wednesday, February 6, 2008

So the first installment of WTF? Wednesdays....

Introducting, The Ashera:

So what is an Ashera? a "blend of exotic bloodlines of the African Serval and the Asian Leopard Cat subsequently bred with a domestic cat". It can "reach a weight of thirty pounds". Want one? if you do, be ready to dish out $22,000... allergic to cats? No probs! Buy the hypoeallergenic for $28,000! Lucky for you if you purchase a cat, that you will get it in 6 months! Talk about service!

right.... So what do you think? WTF? or I want one!

<3 Texas and BMAN, your fave Music Directors! please leave comments on what you like/don't like!

So today is a sad day. Nate and Sam as well as the rest of the band decided not to go foward and make a new album. I'm really distraught by this, as many close friends of mine know that The Format has been a HUGE part of my life with both their albums. Absolutely was a storyline to my life. I was lucky enough to see them at the living room right after Dog Problems came out and was one of the best concerts I've ever been 2. I'll miss those guys, they really mastered Pop music.

so here's to THE FORMAT, and their cds they made that had the potential to infect the airwaves as much as it infected my ears constantly. I wish it could've lasted more than 5 years.
